Launch for Applications for the First European Silver Economy Awards - Apply Now!

Friday, 9 June, 2017 - 16:46

SEED consortium members have officially opened the online application for the first European Silver Economy Awards on June 8th. The solemn launch was integrated into the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing (EIP on AHA) meeting in Valencia. Representatives from SEED coordinator empirica, AGE Platform Europe and the European Commission inaugurated the launch of the first edition after a short presentation of the award categories and evaluation criteria.

The Silver Economy Awards aim to catalyse a sustainable European digital Silver Economy movement by rewarding innovative solutions improving the quality of life of Europeans aged 50+. The awards are the perfect chance to highlight the potential a growing number of older citizens can generate for entrepreneurs, investors, public authorities and civil society, and to promote game-changing ICT solutions responding to these opportunities.

The Silver Economy Awards welcome applications from all those with ICT-related product and service innovations supporting any age group over 50 in the broad spectrum that make up the European Silver Economy.

All applicants will benefit from online publication on the Silver Economy website and winners and finalists will be invited to showcase their product or service at the high-level Award Ceremony in May 2018, where they will be celebrated for their achievements. The winning solutions will be further promoted by the European Covenant on Demographic Change, European Commission and SEED partners in the media, on websites, in newsletters and through other promotional material.

Online submissions are open from June 8 until November 15 2017. Apply now!
