Representatives of the city of Ljubljana who is one of the partners of the Silver Economy Awards Project have presented the project at the Annual European Healthy Cities Network, which works under the World Health Organization. The conference took place in the city of Pecs (Hungary) in March 2017.

At the conference the representative of the City of Ljubljana had opportunities for formal and informal exchange of views, best practices and on-going projects. In terms of the project Silver Economy Awards the third day was the most important working day of the conference as the project was presented to other delegates present at the conference. The presentation highlighted the most important facts and aims of the project. Conference delegates were informed that the Silver Economy Awards will reward excellence in innovative products and services which have gained a certain level of maturity rather than mere research outcomes and that have already been practically implemented and are starting to show benefits flowing from them to older people, other stakeholders and/or society as a whole.

The participants were also informed about the call for application for the award that will be launched in June 2017.
